Who we are
We provide vocational training, life, personal and leadership skills.
We registered Ask8 Skills Centre for Development on 3rd March 2020, as a Community-Based Organization in Kumi District. The Centre provides vocational training, life-skills, personal and leadership development to young people and young professionals in the Eastern part of the Country, where such services are few.
We achieve this through five main strategic interventions:

We meet our objectives through the following activities:
Provide Vocational Skills Training
We offer vocational skills training in painting, tailoring, tiling, rain water harvesting, hair dressing, solar, plumbing, catering, waste management, and maintenance and servicing of buildings.
Education & Workforce development
We provide life-skills training to young people (16-30) in public speaking, presentation skills, financial management, communication skills, Personal etiquette, Sports, Performing arts (edutainment), and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. We also facilitate scholarships for young people, provide ICT skills, and facilitate online learning The centre has also established a community library to enable access to online learning resources among the beneficiaries, schools around and the entire community.
Provide Continuous Professional Development for employed workers
We provide professional development courses, coaching services to employees/employers, consultancy services (Project Management, Communication and visibility planning and delivery, and resource Mobilisation).
Provide a platform to boost Social Entrepreneurship.
We provide training on social entrepreneurship, small grants for social enterprises, credit to social enterprises, and partner with like-minded organisations to promote social enterprise.
School- Community Based Leadership development program for girls
We build leadership and life skills and confidence for girls and young women, a social network for girls to participate in mentorship programs, provide career guidance activities to enable girls explore education and career aspirations, and develop a social action project.
Community Health outreach services
We provide menstrual hygiene training, provide menstrual hygiene products and manufacture reusable pads, promote well being through sports and general health information
